From multiple angles…

We decided to check the Falls from a different perspective before breakfast on Monday…

After lounging by the pool awhile, we hopped on a sunset cruise and spotted some hippos and crocs, as well as a pretty spectacular sunset and an incredible red moon rising.

On Tuesday we packed our bags, said goodbye to Kingsley and crossed the border into Zambia. After checking into the David Livingstone Safari Lodge and Spa, just out of Livingstone, we headed to check if the Zambian side of the falls was as spectacular as the Zimbabwean side. Spoiler alert – it was.

In 1990 I travelled to Victoria Falls via Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe with my brother Vince. The following pic was taken on the Zambian side before they put fencing in – the photo immediately above is possibly the same location.

The following day we checked out the Livingstone Museum and downtown CBD and then hung around our resort counting mosquitoes and hoping our malaria tablets worked! We checked out the next day (Thursday) about twenty minutes before the Zambian President was arriving for an international conference they were hosting. It explains why the maintenance staff and workers had been working so hard on making the pool area look functional!

The Museum was from a different era…
